Evropska hutba reisu-l-uleme dr. Mustafe Cerića u povodu 11. jula, Dana sjećanja na genocid u Srebrenici koji je proglasio Evropski parlament, naišla je na zapažen prijem među muslimanima u Evropi.

Prema našim saznanjima, hutba reisu-l-uleme je danas pročitana na džuma namazu u mnogim džamijama u Evropi i na različitim jezicima. Informacije iz Velike Britanije govore da je hutba reisu-l-uleme na engleskom jeziku pročitana u džamiji u istočnom Londonu, jednoj od glavnih londonskih džamija, kao i mnogim drugim džamijama u Velikoj Britaniji.

Također prema dostupnim informacijama, hutba reisu-l-uleme na turskom jeziku pročitana je i u brojnim turskim džamijama u Njemačkoj. Hutba na turskom i njemačkom jeziku može se pronaći na internet stranicama na području Njemačke.

Reisu-l-ulema je danas imamio džumu namaz u Srebrenici i uputio Evropsku hutbu povodom 11. jula, koju su također hatibi na džuma namazu u džamijama u Bosni i Hercegovini i bošnjačkoj dijaspori pročitali. Hutba je pored bosanskog, prevedena na šest jezika: arapski, turski, engleski, njemački, francuski i albanski jezik.

Rezolucijom Europskog parlamenta od 15. januara, 2009. god., 11. juli je proglašen Europskim danom sjećanja na srebrenički genocid. Tim povodom Europska hutba reisu-l-uleme upućena je hatibima da je pročitaju u petak 10. jula na džumi-namazu u džamijama u Evropi i šire, a u subotu 11. jula predviđeno je da se muslimani pridruže, u vrijeme podne-namaza, dženazi-namazu u Potočarima sa dovom (molitvom) da se više nikada i nikome ne ponovi genocid.
